Sentry

Connect Sentry's hosted MCP server so the agent can search errors, issues, traces and logs.

Sentry hosts its MCP server at https://mcp.sentry.dev/mcp, with nothing to run. The agent can search issues and events, follow traces and read logs, which is useful for what started failing after the deploy?

SettingValue
Endpoint URLhttps://mcp.sentry.dev/mcp
TransportStreamable HTTP
AuthenticationCustom header with a read-only token (recommended), or OAuth

You choose exactly what the token can do.

Create a token

In Sentry, open User Settings → Personal Tokens and create a token (a user auth token) with read scopes only, for example org:read, project:read, team:read and event:read.

Onboard in sremcp

FieldValue
Endpoint URLhttps://mcp.sentry.dev/mcp?skills=inspect
TransportStreamable HTTP
AuthenticationCustom header
Header nameAuthorization
SecretSentry-Bearer <your token>, including the words Sentry-Bearer

?skills=inspect limits the tools to inspecting issues and events. Remove it to see every tool your token allows.

Option B: OAuth

Sentry supports sremcp's client ID document, so there's nothing to register.

  1. Onboard with Authentication OAuth (sign in with the server), fields empty, and Save as draft.
  2. Click Connect and approve on Sentry's page.

The agent then acts as your Sentry account. Sentry's default scopes include write scopes, so check scope granted after connecting, and approve only read tools.

Approve tools

Approve the searching and reading tools, for example search_issues, search_errors, search_traces and search_logs, plus the issue and event detail tools. Leave out tools that update, assign or resolve issues.

AI-powered search

Sentry's natural-language search tools (search_issues, search_errors…) use a model on Sentry's side to turn the agent's question into a Sentry query.
